CIVILITY FIRST: How To Be Friends and Disagree on Politics



Civility First, a community organization based on Whidbey Island working “against increased polarization in our country”, sent an email on Wed., May 16, 2023 announcing their next event. NOTE: The Voter Interests Project is a co-sponsor of this event.
June 10th: Join us for a moderated discussion between our state’s Lt. Governor Denny Heck (Democrat) and 10th Legislative District State Senator Ron Muzzall (Republican)
Civility First is proud to host a thoughtful in-person conversation between Lieutenant Governor Heck and State Senator Muzzall. During a moderated discussion, the two will talk about navigating political waters and maintaining friendships.
We hope you’ll join us on Saturday, June 10th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Coupeville Recreation Hall at 901 N.W. Alexander Street.
The event is free of charge and is co-hosted by: The Island County Democratic Party, The Island County Republican Party, The League of Women Voters, The North Whidbey Republican Women and The Voter Interests Project.
