Colder weather means more time indoors — and a greater chance for illnesses like measles to spread.

In the latest edition of The Band-Aid Bulletin, our school nurses share important information about measles, including what symptoms to watch for, why it can be serious for young children, and how vaccination helps protect our community.

This edition covers:
— How measles spreads and early signs to watch for
— When students should stay home
— The role of the MMR vaccine in prevention
— What families should do if measles is suspected

As always, if a case or outbreak were to occur, we would work closely with local health officials and communicate clearly with families.
