Congratulations to our December Employees of the Month award winners!
Cedarhome Elementary teacher Cory Crandall earned the Certificated Employee of the Month. She was nominated by a staff members who wrote in part that she has “a humble, kind, honest, and relatable demeanor with all staff and students that creates an atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed and safe,” adding that “she cares about any human that enters her classroom. … She is a beautiful example of what a leader is. She is the standard for teaching equality, equity and inclusion for all. Our students and school are so very lucky to have her!”
Cedarhome Elementary paraeducator Ann Peterson was honored as the Classified Employee of the Month. One of the staff members who nominated Mrs. Peterson wrote how she students benefit “academically, socially, and emotionally from her consistent demeanor, patience, and positive attitude.” Another staff member wrote about how Mrs. Peterson is “one of those leaders that will always step in to help with a former student, a coworker, or any student that just needs some extra love. She is constantly going above and beyond for our kids. I don’t know what we would do without Ann Peterson.”
The Certificated and Classified Employee of the Month recognition program honors employees who have shown outstanding commitment and dedication to their work on behalf of students, families, and the community.
