Congratulations to the South Whidbey High School Nerdy Birdies (math team) on their amazing showing on Wednesday, March 12th, at the Regional High School Math Competition put on by the Washington State Math Council (WSMC.net).
The Falcons swept 1st (Team #2), 2nd (Team #1), and 3rd place (Team #3) in the topical section and placed 1st (Team #2), 2nd (Team #1) and 4th (Team #3) in the team section. The “4th place” team tied for 3rd but the judges applied a tie-breaker.
This is the strongest showing ever at the Regional Level in the 10 years of existence of the Nerdy Birdies!
