Congratulations to these outstanding Stanwood High musicians who are headed to state.

At the Mount Pilchuck Music Educators Association District Solo and Ensemble Competition on Feb. 7, several Spartans earned state berths for the Washington Music Educators Association State Solo & Ensemble Contest on April 24-25.

These students qualified to compete at the state level as soloists or chamber musicians:
• Nataleigh Torres — Oboe
• Ashton Guilliaume — Snare Drum
• SHS Saxophone Quartet — Luna McNyset, Lola Holmes, Ramona Reed, and Hunter Hanson

Additionally, two entries qualified as first alternates for state:
• Jovee Holmes — Violin
• SHS Saxophone Ensemble — Luna McNyset, Lola Holmes, Ryane Wright, Jacob Estrada, Jonah Lambert, Ramona Reed, and Hunter Hanson

Congratulations to all of these Spartans for representing Stanwood with talent, dedication, and pride on multiple statewide stages.
