Sometimes policy is iterative. This is one of those times. I’m pleased we found a solution to fund three shows over multiple days, bringing more tourists to Island County to stay and visit our beautiful home. It also funded the highest scoring project and two projects that use alternative ways to celebrate the 4th of July. Here’s to our community, our nation, and the future.
County grants will help fund firework shows in Langley, Freeland and Oak Harbor this year after all.
