Island County Commissioner Janet St. Clair (D-Camano Island), sent out the following email from her campaign account on Fri., May 6, 2022.

It’s already getting busy with events on both Islands. I want to invite you to join me at these events. We deferred the Whidbey Campaign Launch due to COVID. We are excited to invite you to join us for pizza and to hear from other VIP’s (Very Interesting People):

Filing Week Campaign Celebration

Monday, May 16  4:30 pm

Coupeville Rec Hall

Last weekend, we avoided rain and had fun at the Holland Happening parade. This official launch of Island County parade season is always fun for me, even when walking with umbrellas. This year, the campaign added a pet parade and the children loved all the doggies helping carry the message to “Re-elect Janet St Clair for County Commissioner.”

Our next parade is the Coupeville Memorial Day Parade on May 28, 2022.  We hope you will join us to honor our veterans.  This is one of my favorite parades, as is the ceremony to honor our veterans and their families in Oak Harbor on Memorial Day where the honorable Major General Trish Rose will be speaking.  Join me at either or both of these important events.  Please note we will not be actively campaigning, especially at the Monday event as our focus is on those who have served our country.  Future parade events include Stanwood Camano Pride parade on June 4 at Terry’s Corner where we will also have a table.  Stay tuned for 4th of July information and the inimitable Maxwelton Parade.

If you want to join some more active events, please email me at [Ed. Note: email address omitted] to attend one of many Meet & Greet House Parties on both islands.  Please also go to my website for information about my work.  You can donate or endorse via the website.  I appreciate those who add statements to their endorsements so others can see the local impact I have strived to achieve.

I want to take a brief moment to talk about what is front page news. I am deeply concerned by the leak from the Supreme Court.  We must continue to fight for access to care for women’s health and the right to privacy between a woman and her healthcare provider.  Let’s stand together on this important issue.

My deep gratitude to all of those who have demonstrated their trust and support in me to serve another term.  I remain committed to protecting our islands for future generations through sustainable environmental protections, healthy communities, stronger infrastructure and responsive government.

 Thank you for your support.

Janet
