May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. National Association of Counties has a powerful voice in DC advocating for key mental health issues such as veteran’s mental health, suicide prevention, and strengthening Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008. At Washington State Association of Counties, we are working to ensure accountability for behavioral health and working to modernize justice to support and promote recovery.
