Recreational shellfish harvesters – Be aware shellfish biotoxin closures have been expanding in northern and central Puget Sound due to unsafe levels of paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP) toxin. See updated closure areas on the Shellfish Safety Map at doh.wa.gov/shellfishsafety. This week we closed recreational shellfish harvesting on beaches in Quilcene Bay and Dabob Bay in Jefferson County due to PSP biotoxin.

Please check our map, bulletin, or hotline frequently to get the latest biotoxin closure updates, and always check on the day you plan to harvest. Conditions can change quickly.
