Ballot drop box used in Island County elections

Election Day was Nov. 8; now the counting begins. We will update these totals each day.

UPDATE: Island and Skagit counties did no counting on Fri., Nov. 11 due to the Veterans Day holiday.

UPDATE (Nov. 16): Island County now reports an estimated 50 ballots left to count, and plans its next ballot count to be reported at Noon on Nov. 29. Skagit and Snohomish Counties will report at 5:00 PM today.

UPDATE (Nov. 17): Skagit County reports an estimated 7,000 ballots left to count countywide and Snohomish County reports an estimated 500 ballots left to count. Based on the proportion of LD10 votes counted vs total votes counted in each county, we estimate Skagit’s LD10 ballots left to count at approximately 1140 and Snohomish County’s LD10 ballots left at 35.

UPDATE (Nov. 18): Estimated ballots left to count (countywide): Skagit: 1,500, Snohomish: 500. Our estimate is that Skagit has approximately 250 LD10 ballots and Snohomish 35.

UPDATE (Nov. 21): Estimated ballots left to count (countywide): Skagit: 800, Snohomish: 100. Our estimate is that Skagit has approximately 135 LD10 ballots and Snohomish 7.

UPDATE (Nov. 23): We received new counts from all three counties today, after no update yesterday. Island County now estimates 10 ballots left to count, and does not expect to report again before Nov. 29. Skagit now estimates 200 ballots left to count, and Snohomish estimates 150 ballots left. We estimate approximately 1/6 of Skagit ballots and 7% of Snohomish ballots are in LD10, so approximately 50 ballots left to count overall.
