New Island County Economic Development Strategy
The Port of Coupeville was pleased to participate in the process to develop the first-ever Island County Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
The Island County CEDS 2024-28 identifies five overarching goals for economic development:
- Improve and develop resilient critical infrastructure
- Support local businesses and community assets, increase business diversification & promote the County as an attractive place to do business
- Align quality education and skills training programs with employer needs and create living wage job opportunities in Island County
- Sustainably manage the natural beauty and resources of Island County
- Deepen collaboration and coordination between county & regional partners.
