Friends,

In case you missed it—Dave did great in the Primary Election!

Since then, Dave hasn’t slowed down and has been busy across the district all month. Here’s what he’s been up to:

  • Dave spoke to KOMO 4 News about his proposed legislation to provide a holiday from sales tax! He’ll be reintroducing this bill in the 2023 session to give working families a much-needed break. You can check out the interview–and ways to save on back-to-school shopping–at [Ed. Note: this link to KOMO News.]
  • Last week, Dave had the opportunity to visit the Arrowhead Ranch on Camano Island and see the YMCA program funded through his youth health proviso. Dave sat down and talked with the students to answer their questions on local government!
  • Dave toured Skagit First Steps Center in Burlington from Mayor Steve Saxton—he received update on the good work being done to provide transitional and emergency housing for our community.
  • Dave met with Snohomish County officials at Kayak Point Regional County Park to learn more about planned improvements to our community’s park facilities. It was terrific to see how county and state resources are being used to improve recreational opportunities!

August has been busy—but we’re ready for September! After the Labor Day weekend, we’ll be back in full swing with more campaign events, forums, and GOTV efforts.

Thank you all for your support—we couldn’t have won the Primary without you.

Beth
