DAVE PAUL: We’re 12 weeks away
State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Sat., Aug. 13, 2022.
Dear Friends,
We are so proud to have won last week’s Primary Election—and we couldn’t have done it without you. I’d like to thank our dozens of volunteers, hundreds of donors, and the 27,000 voters who supported us. This puts us in a strong position to advocate for your concerns in the 2023 Legislative Session.
There’s only 12 weeks until the General Election, and we know outside groups will spend the next 3 months running negative attacks. Fortunately, our team has just finalized our get-out-the vote (GOTV) plan so that we can talk directly to voters, and here’s how you can help:
- Doorbelling: This is the most effective way to speak directly to voters and earn more support for the General Election. In the primary, we talked to over 8000 voters through doorbelling. Can you commit to a two-hour shift once a week? We’ll always send you out with a buddy–email [Ed. Note: email link omitted] to sign up!
- Phone banking: Can’t make it to the doors? No problem! We’ll be calling voters across our district until Election Day. Email [Ed. Note: email link omitted] for a list. We’ll also be hosting lots of virtual phone-banking events with other candidates–keep an eye out for those dates!
- Post cards: In 2020, we had a great post card campaign, and we’re bringing it back! Email us to get a stack of cards, postcard stamps, and list of voters.
Again, while the Primary Election results are exciting, we know that outside groups won’t give up their fight easily. I hope you can help our work!
As always, it’s an honor to serve.
Dave
