Did you know? Some residents may qualify to pay less — or even nothing — toward school and local levies through a long-standing state property tax exemption program.

This may apply if you are:
🔹 61 or older
🔹 Living with a disability
🔹 A qualifying veteran

For 2025, income limits were approximately:
🔹 $75,000 in Snohomish County
🔹 $54,000 in Island County

(Important note: deductions such as medical expenses can help many households qualify.)

If approved, this program can:
🔹 Freeze your home’s taxable value
🔹 Exempt certain voter-approved levies
🔹 Require no repayment
