Did you know, that the original reason I ran for Island County Commissioner was the comp plan?

It’s the document that helps shapes our future and an outline of who we want to be.

Knowing that I encourage all North Whidbey residents to attend this open house.

It’s a great place to ask questions, give comments, and make sure your values are represented in this planning document.

I would also encourage citizens from other districts to attend their comp plan meeting in their designated area. I know it’s tempting to go to every meeting because you want your voice amplified. But it’s also important that each region of our county has a chance to be heard and their voice and values can stand alone.

That way when we bring all the feedback together, we have a fair representation of the interest and values of our full county.
