ATTN: HUMPHREY RD PARKING LOT CUSTOMERS
During WSDOT’s Pedestrian Improvement Project, the stairway and sidewalk below the lot will be CLOSED. A temporary sidewalk will be available on the OPPOSITE side of the road, but customers will not be able to cross the highway at any point on that hill.
Options are:
1) Park in the lot and use Island Transit to get to/from the ferry (bus stop is on Humphrey Rd at the entrance to the lot)
2) Park in the Deer Lake Park & Ride behind the post office and either use Island Transit to get to/from the ferry or use the crosswalk to get to the temporary sidewalk on the other side to walk down the hill.
3) Follow the DOT Detour Route to walk on Humphrey Road back to Hwy 525 and then use the temporary sidewalk down the hill.
