WHIDBEY NEWS-TIMES: Diamond resigns from school board

Karina Andrew reports from the Oak Harbor School Board meeting on Mon., Mar. 28, 2022:

Oak Harbor School Board President John Diamond announced his resignation from the board, effective April 4, during Monday’s meeting.

Diamond was first elected to the board in 2017 and was re-elected in November of last year. His term would have expired in 2025. He said the reason for his resignation is that he accepted a job in Longview, Wash., that begins April 11.
