The Voter Interests Project introduces our Candidate Interviews 2024 series with interviews of candidates for Island County Commissioner in District 2 (Oak Harbor). We invited Phil Collier (R-Oak Harbor), Christina Elliott (D-Oak Harbor), and Jill Johnson (R-Oak Harbor) to participate in this year’s series, to give you insight into who these people are, why they are running, and what they hope to accomplish in office.

[Ed. Note: While we have not recorded interview with all candidates, we are publishing the interviews we have recorded because ballots have already begun to arrive in voters’ mailboxes. Should we arrange an interview with the other candidates, we will update this page accordingly.]
