Island County Commissioner Janet St. Clair (D-Camano Island), who is running for the State Senate seat from the 10th Legislative District, sent this email to supporters on Sat., June 29, 2024.

Many of us grew up watching movies with a great underdog story – from boxing, to ice hockey to baseball.

But what defines an underdog in a major election year?

I am proud to take on a tough fight against an incumbent and stay true to my values throughout this campaign. We’ve put together a great team and are working hard everyday. And I believe that makes our story worthy of the title.

Winning this seat will come down to how we connect with and reach out to the thousands of voters across the 10th District. And the clock is running out to decide on our final budget and advertising plan. Tomorrow night’s deadline is a test – and we CAN be the underdog who defeats a well-funded incumbent if I have you all on my team.

Will you make a contribution of ANY meaningful amount before our end of month deadline tomorrow? [Ed. Note: donation link omitted.]

This opportunity only comes around every four years – and we need to make sure voters across the 10th know what’s at stake.

To quote another story of an underdog – clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose,

Janet
