Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor), candidate for State Representative, 10th Legislative District, Position 2

Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor), candidate for State Representative, 10th Legislative District, Position 2, posted this on his Facebook page on .

Over the last 6 years, I’ve advocated for additional funding for behavioral health facilities in each of the three counties that I serve. I’m especially proud to have led the efforts to secure $1.9 million for the Holman Recovery Center in Arlington—the new center will go a long way to help improve outcomes in Arlington and Snohomish County

I recently had the opportunity to meet with Edmund Smith (Executive Director of the Holman Recovery Center) to tour the facility, learn more about their programming, and meet with both residents and staff.

We also toured the site for the new facility near the Arlington Municipal Airport, which will expand services offered for members of our community.

I’m continuing to meet with law enforcement officials, local leaders, agencies, and judges throughout the interim to discuss ways to better coordinate services across agencies to help members of our community with recovery—and ways to prevent addiction in the first place.
