The South Whidbey Parks & Recreation District sent the following email on Thursday, February 3rd.

SWPRD Replacement Maintenance and Operations Levy on the ballot for February 8th

On the February 8th, 2022 ballot, registered South Whidbey voters will be asked to consider funding the Parks system for the 4 years beginning in 2023.

This levy is a replacement of the expiring Maintenance and Operations levy and funds the District’s operations. The levy rate beginning in 2023 would be 22 cents per $1,000 of assessed value which is a 2-cent increase over the 2019 levy rate.

If you weren’t able to attend one of the District’s Virtual Open House Information Sessions on this Levy, you still have an opportunity to get information on this ballot measure. Staff has put together an informational video on the Levy and posted it to the District’s Youtube Channel here:
