Even though we do get to talk to our state reps on a regular basis, it is nice to attend these town halls and hear the questions from our community.
Great turnout at today’s Town Hall with Representative Paul and Senator Muzzall! An engaged community with 100% of the questions coming from the attendees.
The discussion focused on key issues, including:
-The Washington state budget shortfall
-Impacts of federal government decisions (tariffs, grants)
-Ferry system access and reliability
-Veterans benefits
-Road safety and infrastructure
Most conversations were about funding and how programs are supported and the impact of federal decisions.
We appreciate everyone who came out to take part in the conversation, and a thanks to moderator Mayor Pro Tempore Hizon, and Councilmembers Stucky and Armes for taking notes and being onsite.
