Coupeville School District – Board Meeting

Topics of interest include:

• A presentation on the Connected Food Program, which engages elementary school students in hands-on garden education, including plant based and garden centered cooking lessons and learning about “food courage”.
• Second readings of several new or amended policies: Policy 2000 – Student Learning Goals; Policy 2004 – Accountability Goals; Policy 2005 – School Improvement Plans; Policy 2020 – Course Design, Selection and Adoption of Instructional Materials; Policy 3224 – Student Dress; and Policy 3742 – Closed Campus.
• A resolution to request a waiver from the state’s requirement of 180 school days, to permit the district to hold 176 days of student attendance days and four exclusive parent/student conference days.
• Discussion of the 2022-23 school year calendar to run from Sept. 6, 2022 to June 15, 2023.
