State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) serves on the House Postsecondary Education & Workforce Committee. The committee has scheduled two meetings for Wed., Sep. 24, 2025. See below for details.

Work Session

  1. Finishing Trades Institute Northwest (10:45 AM to 12:30 PM).
    1. Washington registered apprenticeships and recognized apprenticeship preparation.
    2. Building Trades Apprenticeship Programs.
    3. Construct a Career Initiative.
    4. BuildUp: Increasing awareness, access, and retention in apprenticeships.
    5. Construction Training Pathways Oversight Committee.
  2. Renton Technical College – Programs for nontraditional students. (4:00 PM to 5:00 PM).
    1. Allied health programs.
    2. Cybersecurity.

The committee will meet in 2 locations as follows: Finishing Trades Institute Northwest – Meeting is in Building E, Rooms 370 A and B, 6770 East Marginal Way S., Seattle, WA. Parking permits can be purchased at the parking kiosk located at the entrance to Building B. Renton Technical College – Meeting is in Building I, Culinaire Room, 3000 NE 4th St, Renton, WA. No parking permits are required after 3:00 PM. Park in lots P8 or P7 only.
