Island County Board of Commissioners – Work Session

The regularly-scheduled work session of the Island County Board of Commissioners for the first Wednesday of September 2021 The agenda for the meeting can be found at this link.

The commissioners will hear reports from:

• Public Works on the Transportation Improvement, Clean Water Utility, and Capital Improvement Plans;
• Planning and Community Development on the Building Division’s 2021 Work Plan and an update on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on the county’s probationary status with the National Flood Insurance Program;
• the Health Department and Department of Natural Resources on changes to agreements with the state Department of Ecology and the Puget Sound Partnership;
• the Superior Court on a number of contract amendments and interlocal agency agreements;
• the Budget Manager with an update on community service grants under the American Rescue Plan Act; and
• the COVID Response Manager with a COVID update.

The session is scheduled to continue after lunch (at 1:00 PM) with a workshop on the 2022 Budget.
