Building Healthy Communities
Understanding impacts of changes to our federal programs
Join Island County Health and Human Services and community partners to explore the role federal programs play in supporting healthy communities in Island County. You will learn about the numbers of people receiving services through Medicare, Medicaid, Tri-Care and Veteran Programs, Senior Services, and supplemental nutrition programs such as SNAP, WIC, and Meals on Wheels. Following that brief informational presentation, a panel of local nonprofit partners will share their thoughts on how federal cuts may impact our communities and how you can help.
