Oak Harbor City Council – Special Meeting

A special meeting of the Oak Harbor City Council to discuss a proposed fire service levy. The agenda for the meeting can be found at this link and the full meeting packet can be found at this link.

City staff will provide an overview of the Fire Service Levy request to the community, outreach process to engage with the community about the potential Fire Service Levy, and the feedback staff received from the public during the four-week outreach process. The outreach process included open houses with a fire station tour, creation of service area map for North Whidbey, outreach at a community booth, social media engagement posts, financial analysis update, and opportunity for the public to share feedback through an online survey form.

After reviewing the information, staff will seek direction from City Council regarding whether or not they want staff to move forward with placing the Fire Service Levy on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot.
