Oak Harbor City Council – Workshop

The regularly-scheduled workshop session of the Oak Harbor City Council for January 2022. The agenda for the meeting can be found at this link and the full meeting packet can be found at this link. Workshop sessions are generally briefing sessions with city staff; no votes are taken.

Topics of interest include an update from Development Services on the Eveland and Quintero annexation (at 2446 Loerland Ln); a discussion of the potential sale of property at the Marina for non-payment of Marina charges; an update by the Finance department on their Public Safety Needs Analysis and its potential impacts on city finances; and reports on various topics by the Public Works department, including a proposed permanent closure of SE 3rd Avenue to vehicle traffic, a status update on the east harbor stormwater drainage outlet, a prooosal to install a drainage pipe in the slide area of the bluff west of the Veterans Memorial Park, proposed demolitions on two parcels within city limits in 2022, and plans to allow usage of reclaimed water for irrigation on city property and to improve water usage efficiency (and costs) at the Splash Park.
