Topics of interest include: an update by Island County Commissioner Janet St. Clair on the City’s participation in the Island County Broadband Action Team; a vote to sign a professional services agreement with a consultant to conduct a study on utility rates; an update on an agreement with the City of Anacortes to install fiber optic cables for broadband internet service from Sharpe’s Corner to the Deception Pass Bridge; a proposed ordinance to modify the municipal code relating to site-specific rezones; a discussion on allocating $6.585M the City will receive from the federal government under the American Rescue Plan Act to various projects; an update on the Harbor Heights Sports Complex; and the first part of a training series on City finances.
