Coastal Adaptation Strategy Open House

With funding from the Department of Ecology’s Shoreline Planning Competitive Grant Program, the Town of Coupeville is continuing its efforts to prepare for sea level rise impacts by developing a Coastal Adaptation Strategy. This strategy will set goals and prioritize actions to enhance community resilience to sea level rise and other coastal hazards. It will build upon the findings from the Town of Coupeville Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment completed in 2023. For more information, visit townofcoupeville.org/coastal-adaptation-strategy.

Join us at the Coupeville Recreation Hall (901 NW Alexander Street) for an in-person Coastal Adaptation Strategy Open House Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 6-7:30 PM. Attend to learn about the Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessment findings, the proposed framework for the Coastal Adaptation Strategy, and to provide your input. The presentation will be recorded and posted to the Town’s Coastal Adaptation Strategy webpage after the event.
