Thank you to our bus drivers, students, staff, and families for a smooth and safe morning. All students arrived safely at school, and our Transportation team did an outstanding job navigating the early detours and only a few delays. We appreciate everyone’s patience and teamwork throughout this week’s weather.

As of midday, our emergency management partners report that while water levels south of Highway 532 are rising, there continues to be no flooding in downtown Stanwood. City officials also note that they do not expect floodwaters to rise to a level that could breach Highway 532.

A few low-lying valley roads remain closed as a precaution, but conditions around our schools are stable. For this afternoon, we expect normal busing operations. Routes 21, 23, 24, 25, and 42 may experience slight delays as drivers navigate around a few existing road closures, but all stop locations remain the same.

If any specific routes experience unexpected changes, we will communicate directly with those families.

District staff continue to closely monitor river levels, weather forecasts, road conditions, and guidance from local emergency management partners. If changing conditions impact school schedules, transportation, or activities, we will communicate updates directly with families and staff through email, text, our website, and social media.

Thank you again for your continued flexibility and support as we work closely with our emergency management partners to keep students and staff safe.
