Dear Friends and Neighbors,

With only a few more weeks to go, the 2022 session is moving fast. It’s vital that 10th District residents get first-hand information on the public policies and bills being debated and decided in Olympia.

That’s why I’m co-hosting a virtual town hall meeting on Monday, Feb. 21, starting at 6:30 p.m. During the online event, Sen. Ron Muzzall, R-Oak Harbor, and Rep. Dave Paul, D-Oak Harbor, and I will answer your questions and discuss our perspectives on the legislative issues that matter the most to you, your family, and our region.

Preregistration is required for this Zoom-hosted meeting. You can also submit any of your questions prior to the event during the registration process.

Attention: Skagit County flooding victims

The Employment Security Office (ESD) has asked me to help get out information about benefits available to those impacted by major disasters like flooding and landslides. Skagit County residents that suffered during the recent major flooding may qualify for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA).

This federal program provides financial help to people who have experienced interruptions in employment because of a major disaster and do not qualify for regular state-funded unemployment insurance (UI). To find out more and/or to download a DUA application, click here.
