The Whidbey Island Public Hospital District board of commissioners will hold a special board meeting on Mon., Feb. 6, 2023 for an executive session.

The District sent out the following public meeting notices on Wed., Feb. 1, 2023.

A special meeting to be held in Executive Session of the Board of Hospital Commissioners for Whidbey Island Public Hospital District will be held in the HEC AB Conference Room at 101 N. Main Street, Coupeville, WA on Monday, February 6th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. and concluding at 3:00 p.m. The purpose of the board meeting is to hold an executive session of the board of commissioners under RCW 42.30.110(1)(g) to evaluate the qualifications of applicants for the superintendent (CEO) position of
WhidbeyHealth.

On the Ballot in November 2023

WHIDBEY ISLAND PUBLIC HOSPITAL DISTRICT
Commissioners: Two of the five commissioner positions are on the ballot. Hospital commissioners serve six-year terms. In addition, due to resignation, a third position may also be on the ballot.
Position 1: vacant. Commissioner Margrethe Cammermeyer resigned his seat on Feb. 1, 2023; her successor has not yet been appointed. The position will be on the ballot in 2023 to fill the remainder of Cammermeyer’s term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2023, and the succeeding six-year full term, which ends Dec. 31, 2029.
Position 4: Gregory Richardson. Commissioner Richardson was appointed in Oct. 2022 after the resignation of Nancyjean Fey. The position will be on the ballot in 2023 to fill the remainder of Fey’s term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2025.
