I spent the day in Olympia working closely with colleagues from Kitsap (Oran Root) and San Juan (Justin Paulsen) Counties to advocate for our WSDOT ferry system. (Missing our fearless leader from Vashon Island – Amy Drayer) The challenges facing our ferries include replacement of an aging fleet; lowering emissions from one of our major transportation polluters; strengthening our ferry workforce; and ensuring reliability and customer service.
