In our final episode of our three-part Safety & Infrastructure Levy video series, Superintendent Ryan Ovenell sits down with District Maintenance Manager Kevin Cruse to discuss some behind-the-scenes efforts to keep our schools safe, warm, and operating every day.

Kevin shares examples of critical systems most families never see and explains what happens when one of those systems fails unexpectedly. These are the kinds of issues that don’t make headlines — until something goes wrong.

They also discuss why planned maintenance is more predictable and cost-effective, while emergency repairs are often more expensive and disruptive to learning.
