The Island County Democrats sent this email to supporters on June 17, 2022. We believe that the statements made by the leadership of each party are of general public interest.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We are sick to death of people who are supposed to represent us but continue to ignore our calls for gun safety legislation and won’t allow a woman the right to control her own body. Never mind action on the environment, justice for all and so many other important issues. Rep. Dave Paul and candidate Clyde Shavers are on the right side of all these issues.
We understand that keeping and growing a Democratic majority in our State House is immensely important. Some of you, and those to whom you will reach out, don’t live in the 10th but probably in the adjacent 40th, which is already well-represented by a trio of excellent Democrats. It’s important that we share our resources, and put our efforts where we can increase the numbers of those in Olympia who truly represent us.
Please join us on the 23rd!
