JANET ST. CLAIR: Primary Election Results – We are leading the pack!
Janet St. Clair (D-Camano Island) sent this email to supporters on Fri., Aug. 5.
As the primary election comes to a close and the final results are counted, I want to take a moment to thank my supporters, volunteers and all those who voted in this primary. Our campaign took a strong early lead, maintaining a winning margin even as the late votes trickled in. Many of you have yet to vote as this “top two” primary was only for District 3. I look forward to seeing you at the ballot box in November.
As success is never a solo effort, I still need your help. Whether you choose to volunteer, write letters to the editor, donate or attend an event, you can help us win in November. I invite you to join us August 16 at 4:30 pm for our general election kick-off at Comfort Wineries in Langley. We have other “Meet & Greets” planned on both islands or come visit me at the Stanwood Camano Fair on Saturday or Sunday. For campaign updates or to get involved, go to the website at www.janetstclair.com.
The extreme views of my opponents proved unpopular as Island County voters chose experience, integrity, and respect over political posturing. We must continue to remember there is more we share than those things (or people) that try to divide us. I will continue to focus on the needs of seniors and working families, healthcare access, climate resiliency, affordable housing, and internet equity for all who learn, work and play in Island County.
In gratitude,
Janet
