LEGISLATURE 2023-24: Protecting our community (DAVE PAUL)
State Representative Dave Paul (D-Oak Harbor) sent out the following email from his campaign account on Sat., Jul. 15, 2023.
Friends,
Last weekend, I joined Senator Marko Liias and hundreds of community members for Langley Pride Parade. The event was a wonderful celebration–and it was terrific to see so many friends and neighbors.
It was also a moment to reflect the work being done to support the LGBTQ community in our state. This past session, the legislature passed legislation to support transgender youth and ensure access to gender-affirming care.
Sadly, it’s a much different story in other states, where MAGA Republicans are demonizing the LGBTQ community. And we know that ultra-conservative groups plan to target me next year in order to roll back protections for the LGBTQ community and women’s reproductive health.
That’s scary, but we can fight back. Let’s show our community that we are serious about defending this seat—and the values that matter most to our community

As we prepare for the next election, let’s show our opponents that we’re ready to fight for our priorities. Can you help me get ready by making a donation?

Thank you for your support. As always, it’s an honor to serve.
Sincerely,
Dave
