Small businesses are great for our economy and our community. I was recently in Mount Vernon with the WA State Hospitality Association and Brenda Schmidt, owner of a local cafe in town to talk about the challenges facing small businesses in the 10th District–and ways of improving educational opportunities that lead to living-wage jobs in the hospitality industry.
