CAMANO: Filing week, including two School Board positions (FB)

Next week is filing week for public office in Washington state, Including for two of our School Board positions. Community members interested in running for the Stanwood-Camano School Board can find information and links on our website.

Filing Week in Washington state runs from May 5-9. Board members serve four-year terms and help set the vision and policies for the district, adopt the annual budget, and evaluate the superintendent.

This year, two seats are up for election: District 1 (southeast portions of the school district, including Warm Beach) and District 2 (south Camano Island). Candidates must live within the boundaries of the director district they wish to represent, though voters across the entire school district will cast ballots for each position.
