North Whidbey Fire and Rescue (NWFR) would like to congratulate the newest Entry-Level Firefighters (ELF). FF. Welch, FF. Wyre, FF. Smith, FF. Abbott, FF. Crouch. The ELF program is set up to prepare new fire recruits for the fire academy. They are trained in the basic skills needed to help out at emergency calls. After going through the academy, they will be certified firefighters.
NWFR will be holding the 2025 fire academy starting in March.
