The City of Oak Harbor issued the following press release on Thu., Nov. 21, 2024 on the city’s website.

Oak Harbor, WA  – Mayor Ronnie Wright gave a State of the City address today at the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce Member Luncheon. Mayor Wright reflected on Oak Harbor’s progress over the past year and shared his vision for the future, emphasizing community, partnerships, and diversity and inclusion.

Mayor Wright took the opportunity to introduce City Councilmembers, the Executive Team and acknowledged other City department leaders.

“I am proud to be leading a dedicated team of professionals who are working tirelessly to ensure that Oak Harbor remains a wonderful place to live, work, and do business,” said Mayor Wright “Together, we are building a thriving community that is poised for continued growth and success.”

Mayor Wright highlighted the progress made in the first 11 months of his term. Some accomplishments include the Comprehensive Plan, Marina open houses, roadway enhancements, fire and police updates, and support for local businesses.

“There is still much work to be done, but we’ve made incredible progress in these first 11 months,” said Mayor Wright. “Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for Oak Harbor.”
