Oak Harbor Public Schools would like to congratulate the school board members elected to serve another term and newly-elected member Josh MacLean, who will soon be joining the School Board of Directors.
All five board member seats were up for election during an unprecedented election cycle. Out of the five, four of those elected are returning board members, and one new school board member was elected.
Board President Lynn Goebel was re-elected to position 1, Vice President Jessica Aws was re-elected to position 2, Legislative Representative Director Nicole Tesch was elected to position 4, and Director Sharon Jensen was elected to position 5. Josh MacLean was elected to fill position 3, vacated by Director Robert Hallahan who chose not to run for re-election. Director Tesch and Director Jensen were elected to complete partial two-year terms because of their recent appointment to the Board of Directors, while President Goebel, Vice President Aws, and newly-elected Director MacLean were elected to full four-year terms.
