DAVE PAUL: Another reminder of what’s at stake

Rep. Dave Paul’s campaign email account (dave@votedavepaul.com) sent the following email on Tue. Aug. 17, 2021:

Dear Friends,

I recently received a reminder of what’s at stake with our next election. A former state legislator sent a fundraising request for his anti-LGBTQ group. In it, he decried that groups and companies are trying to “persuade Americans that LGBT policy objectives…are actually good for society.” He called proponents of LGBTQ rights as “radicals and pagans.” (Ed. Note: We believe that Rep. Paul is referring to Sen. Mark Miloscia, the executive director of the Family Policy Institute of Washington.)

I don’t think that protecting LGBTQ members of our society from hate and discrimination is radical. I think it’s the right thing to do. And, I think policies that protect members of the LGBTQ community are essential.
