The City of Stanwood has been granted $100,000 from the State to kickstart the planning and design of a new police station. “I extend my personal appreciation to Sen. Ron Muzzall, Representative Clyde Shavers and Representative Dave Paul, for helping secure these essential funds,” Mayor Sid Roberts. The new station will be built outside of the floodplain, across the street from the School District Administration Building with planning beginning this year.

A date for construction has yet to be determined and will largely depend on state and federal funding. In the meantime, renovations are being done to the existing Stanwood Police Station to keep the building functional for staff. Read the full story at: https://bit.ly/stanwoodpolicestation
