The new year is bringing big changes to Camano Fire.
After 5 years leading the department, Chief Yengoyan is stepping down effective March 31. The Board of Commissioners voted to appoint current Assistant Chief Jason Allen to the position of Fire Chief.
It’s a big change for all of us. While we’re sad to say farewell to Chief Yengoyan, we’re confident that Chief Allen will step into the role with dedication, vision, and a commitment to the exceptional service our community has come to expect from Camano Fire.
We’ll share more details about the transition – including a community celebration for Chief Yengoyan and information about a swearing-in ceremony for Chief Allen – in the coming weeks.
