As the City of Stanwood prepares for possible flooding and deploys its floodwall near Marine Drive (84th Ave NW) under the Highway 532 overpass, we want families and community members to know that the Stanwood-Camano School District is closely coordinating with the City of Stanwood, Snohomish County, and local emergency management.

Our transportation team is working proactively to ensure school bus routes and morning pick-up times remain on schedule. Afternoon drop-off times may experience some delays on Tuesday, depending on weather conditions and road closures.

If any specific bus routes are impacted, we will communicate directly with the affected families with timely updates.

Drivers traveling near the area should expect detours, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time as conditions evolve.

Student safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as our community prepares.
