At the National Association of Counties annual conference, Philadelphia showcased its rich history and iconic architecture. I had the opportunity to tour Comcast’s headquarters as part of the telecommunications and technology committee, which was impressive. Until high-speed internet access is recognized as an essential utility, we will have an uneven playing field. I appreciate the efforts of our Broadband Action Team in addressing this issue. I am proud to continue my work on healthcare access for veterans and military families and support Commissioner Barry Buchanan’s efforts to protect Medicaid.
