Housing….

My opponent is using this quote as an example of how I am “out of touch” with the housing struggles our communities are facing.

I 100% disagree.

I think this was a sympathetic quote in response to a generation facing rising housing prices and I am thankful and acknowledging that I had HELP from my family to buy my first home.

That doesn’t make me out of touch…it makes me in tune with the truth many families are facing…Without help it is very difficult for many individuals to break into the housing market.

I firmly believe that walking through life with empathy and recognizing that not everyone has the same advantages is a key component to leadership.

Policies need to be inclusive and you need self-awareness to know how your experience may differ from the experiences other are having. To recognize those differences you need to be IN-TOUCH with your community.

Also….let’s be honest…I’m just trying to find more upsides for being “old”…😇
