The South Whidbey School District posted this to its Facebook page on .

South Whidbey students had the opportunity to see Martha Red Bone at WICA today, National American Indian Day (observed by tribes and states across the country). Students learned about her ancestral languages, Choctaw and Cherokee, and learned some of the history of the Trail of Tears. Students sang along in Choctaw to songs about nature, love and amazing grace. Martha Red Bone Roots Project has another performance at WICA on Saturday 9/28. Thank you to WICA for making this performance available to our South Whidbey students.
